For this assignment, you must come up with a circuit schematic, a bill of materials for us to order, and a timeline for your progress throughout the rest of the semester. The specific tasks to be completed are:

• Schematic: Create a schematic for any of the circuits that you plan to implement using any commercial schematic software (Visio works, if you don't have access to a circuit-specific product).
• Bill of Materials (BOM): Create a bill of materials for your core technology demo so that we can order any of the non-stocked parts. Make sure to include the price, quantity, and purchase links for any product we need to order. The lab stocks the usual digital logic chips and passive components, so you don't need to list everything on your BOM. You should use this assignment as a motivation to start thinking in detail about how you will design your product.
• PERT chart: Create a PERT chart for the tasks you will complete en route to your core technology demo. Start by listing the tasks you will accomplish in a single Excel spreadsheet, including the estimated time for each task in real working units (i.e. how many days it will take you given all of your other work in other classes). Next, create a DSM based on the tasks and identify which tasks are sequential, parallel, and coupled by using a color code of of your choice. Finally, convert the DSM into a PERT chart and mark the critical path. The PERT chart should have calendar dates associated with it, so that you can track your progress over the course of the semester.
