Mission Statement
For this assignment, you must create your team's mission statement. As described in class,
the mission statement provides a detailed definition of the assumptions under which the product will be developed,
including:

A one- or two-sentence description of the product or market opportunity. It is important to avoid implying a
specific product concept. If you like, this may the same as your product opportunity statement from last week.

A benefit proposition: a brief hypothesis of why someone would want to buy the product that explains what the product
provides to its users and any notable new or special features of the product.

Target market(s): identify the primary market(s) (i.e., who are your primary targeted customers) and secondary market(s)
(if applicable; this is anyone who might be interested in buying your product that is not in the primary market).

Target price.

Any core assumptions and/or constraints that may affect how you design or develop the product (e.g., "Must run
Microsoft Windows").
The textbooks provide additional examples of material that can be contained within a mission statement, and U&E has a formatted
example if you do not decide on your own formatting. This document should be no longer than 1 page and should be submitted
electronically as a PDF or word processor file.
